The new features are not there

Most likely causes

  1. Your tab is older than the last release. Fix: reload the page. Press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac. The new features appear. A tab left open for days is showing an old version of the page.
  2. You have several tabs open. Fix: close them all, then open GRAPE MARS again in one tab. The new features appear.

Buttons do nothing after the tab was open all week

I do not know which version my browser is

What to do

The page looks broken on my tablet or phone

Most likely causes

  1. The screen is too small. Fix: use a laptop or a desktop. The timeline fits on the screen.
  2. You need to read only. Fix: a tablet is fine for reading. Coding and analysis need a big screen.

  1. You opened a different copy of GRAPE MARS. Fix: use the address your administrator gave your team. Each copy holds its own data.
  2. You used an old bookmark. Fix: open the site from the address bar, then bookmark it again. The bookmark goes to the right site.

Video plays badly or the fans get loud

Most likely causes

  1. Many tabs are open. Fix: close the ones you do not need. The picture runs smoothly.
  2. Hardware acceleration is failing. Fix: turn hardware acceleration off in your browser settings. Then reload the page. The picture runs smoothly.
  3. The file is very large. Fix: work from a smaller copy of the video.

If the screen shows an error message, look it up in All error messages.

If it still does not work: contact support. Include the page address from the browser bar, the date and time, your browser and its version, the exact words on the screen, and what you clicked.
