Problems exporting

The spreadsheet puts everything in one column

Most likely causes

1. Your region uses the semicolon. Fix: use the Excel file instead. It needs no setup. Each field lands in its own column.
2. Your spreadsheet split the file on the wrong mark. Fix: use the Excel file instead. To keep the CSV, open it through Data → From Text/CSV (Datos in Spanish Excel) and choose the comma. Each field lands in its own column.

I asked for Excel and got a Word file

Most likely causes

1. You clicked Generate report. Fix: that button always makes a Word file. For a spreadsheet, click Export data, then click Excel. GRAPE MARS saves an .xlsx file. In a workspace, click Export instead.

The Word report looks wrong in my word processor

Most likely causes

1. The file is built for Microsoft Word. Fix: open it in Word if you can. The layout holds. Other tools may move it.
2. Your tool is old. Fix: save the file as PDF from Word, and share the PDF.

ELAN will not open my file

Most likely causes

1. You saved the wrong file type. Fix: in Export Data, click ELAN under Format. GRAPE MARS saves an .eaf file.
2. The media path does not match. Fix: point ELAN at your video file when it asks. ELAN shows your work against the video.
3. The export is not yet checked in ELAN. Fix: contact support and include what ELAN said. See the guide "Export to ELAN (.eaf)".

Nothing downloads at all

Most likely causes

1. A pop-up blocker stopped it. Fix: allow pop-ups and downloads for this site. The file lands in your downloads folder.
2. Your sign-in has expired. Fix: reload the page, sign in again, then export.

If the screen shows an error message, look it up in All error messages.

If it still does not work: contact support. Include the page address from the browser bar, the date and time, your browser and its version, the exact words on the screen, and what you clicked.
