Problems in a workspace

I opened a workspace and do not know what to do

What to do

  1. A workspace is a page you build. Drag a module from the palette on the right onto the empty area, or click + on it. The module appears on the page. Each module is one chart or table. See the guide "Add a module".

I cannot add a module by dragging

Most likely causes

  1. You dropped it outside the area. Fix: drop it on the large empty space, not on the palette or the edge. The module appears on the page.
  2. Your mouse released too early. Fix: hold the button until the drop area lights up.
  3. You use a trackpad. Fix: click the module once. The module appears on the page. Keyboard and click both work.

A module says it has no data

Most likely causes

  1. The scope is too narrow. Fix: open Scope override on the module. Widen the videos, the time range, the tracks or the coders. The chart draws.
  2. The videos in view have no annotations. Fix: pick a video you have coded. The chart draws.

The agreement module is empty

Most likely causes

  1. Only one person coded that video. Fix: Cohen's kappa needs 2 coders. Ask a colleague to code the same video. The score appears.
  2. More than one video is in view. Fix: pick a single video. The score appears. This module works on one video at a time.
  3. Your time range is under 10 seconds. Fix: widen the range. The score appears.

The heatmap or the comparison module is empty

Most likely causes

  1. The heatmap needs 2 annotation types. Fix: widen the track filter so at least 2 types are in view. The heatmap draws.
  2. The comparison needs 2 videos. Fix: select at least 2 videos in Scope override. The comparison draws.

The coder column shows a code, not a name

Most likely causes

  1. Your tab is showing an old version of the page. Fix: reload the page. Press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac. The names appear in the column.
  2. That person left the platform. Fix: contact support and include the code you see.

Most likely causes

  1. The old pages were replaced. Fix: you do not need to do anything. Open the workspace you want from the list. Bookmark that one instead. The bookmark goes straight to your workspace.

My workspace did not save

Most likely causes

  1. Your sign-in has expired. Fix: reload the page and sign in again. A workspace saves on its own while you work.
  2. You are a viewer on this project. Fix: ask the owner to make you an editor.

If the screen shows an error message, look it up in All error messages.

If it still does not work: contact support. Include the page address from the browser bar, the date and time, your browser and its version, the exact words on the screen, and what you clicked.
