Error messages M to O ​

Messages that start with the letters M to O. The full list is in All error messages.

Mapped type not found ​

The whole message names the type, such as Mapped type not found: Gaze.

When you see it: in the ELAN import window, after you match tiers to types.

What it means: the type you chose is no longer in your library.

What to do: close the window. Add the type to your library. Then import again.

Maximum hierarchy depth (7 levels) reached ​

Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. You reach this only from Settings → My Annotations, and the box there says Failed to create annotation type instead.

What it means: a type can hold 6 levels of sub-types below it. You reached the last one.

What to do: add the new sub-type higher up the tree.

Media signing temporarily unavailable. ​

Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. Video thumbnails and playback stay blank instead.

What it means: the server could not make a safe link to the video file.

What to do: wait a few minutes and reload the page. Contact support if it fails twice.

Model not found or not enabled ​

When you see it: in the annotator, when you run an AI track.

What it means: the model is turned off, or an admin removed it.

What to do: choose a different model for the track. Or ask your administrator to turn it on.

Also shown as: Model not found. GRAPE MARS never shows those three words. They come from the admin model page, where the box says Failed to save prompt instead.

Name and type_ids required ​

Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. The Create Set button stays grey while the name box is empty. If the save fails for another reason, the box says Failed to create annotation set instead.

What it means: the set has no name, or you chose no annotation types.

What to do: type a name. Choose at least one type. Then save.

Name required ​

Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. Every name box stops you first: the button stays grey while the box is empty. This holds for a library, a type, a set, and a speaker.

What it means: the name box is empty.

What to do: type a name. Then save.

Also shown as: Name is required, name required.

No account found for this user ​

When you see it: on the project page, when you add a person by email.

What it means: nobody with that email has a GRAPE MARS account.

What to do: check the email. Ask the person to make an account first.

No file provided ​

When you see it: when you add a profile picture, or a picture to a test answer.

What it means: no file reached the server.

What to do: choose the file again. Then send it.

No Gemini API key available ​

The whole message is No Gemini API key available. Add your own Gemini key in Settings → AI Services.

When you see it: in the annotator, when you run an AI track that uses Gemini.

What it means: your account has no Gemini key.

What to do: open Settings. Open the AI Services tab. Add your own key there.

No mapping provided for tier ​

The whole message names the tier, such as No mapping provided for tier: Speaker 1.

When you see it: in the ELAN import window.

What it means: one tier in the file has no type next to it.

What to do: go back one step. Choose a type for every tier you want to keep.

No suggestions found ​

The message starts No suggestions found. This may mean: and then lists 3 hints.

When you see it: in the annotator, when an AI run ends with nothing to show.

What it means: the AI run worked, but it marked no part of the video.

What to do: try a shorter part of the video. Use a wide video for shot types.

Not the same as: No suggestions generated, which means the run itself failed.

No video loaded ​

The whole message is No video loaded — import or upload a video first.

When you see it: in the annotator, when you start AI transcription.

What it means: no video file is open on the screen.

What to do: wait for the video to appear. Upload it again if it never does.

The messages that start with Not saved — sit on their own page: Error messages: not saved.

Only project owner can delete project ​

When you see it: on the project page, when you delete a project.

What it means: only the person who made the project can delete it.

What to do: ask the owner to delete it.

Only the project owner can add collaborators ​

When you see it: on the project page, when you share a project.

What it means: only the owner can change who works on the project.

What to do: ask the owner to add or remove the person.
