Problems working together
The person I invited is not found
Most likely causes
- They have no account yet. Fix: an invite finds an account that already exists. Ask them to sign up first. Then invite them again. Their name appears in the people list.
- You typed a different email. Fix: use the exact address they signed up with. The invite goes through.
- You are not the owner. Fix: only the owner can add people. Ask the owner to do it. Your colleague joins the project.
My annotations vanished when I reloaded
Most likely causes
- Your role on that project is viewer. Fix: a viewer can look but not save. Ask the owner to make you an editor. Your changes save from then on. Your earlier work is not lost; it was never saved.
- Your sign-in has expired. Fix: reload the page and sign in again before you continue. Your next change saves.
I cannot see who else is in the video
Most likely causes
- Nobody else has it open. Fix: you do not need to do anything. The panel shows people only while they are there. To check it works, ask a colleague to open the same video. Their name appears in the panel.
- Your tab is showing an old version of the page. Fix: reload the page. Press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac.
- Your network blocks live updates. Fix: try another network. The panel lists the people in the video. Some campus networks block live updates.
I get a not-found error on a video I can see
Most likely causes
- The video is not in a project you belong to. Fix: ask the owner to add you to that project. You can also ask the owner to add the video to your project. The video opens.
- You followed an old link. Fix: open the video from the project page instead. The video opens.
Someone changed my work
Most likely causes
- Editors share the same tracks. Fix: agree who codes what. Each annotation records who made it. You can filter by coder.
- You both used the same speaker tab. Fix: give each person a speaker tab, or work on different videos. Your bars stay separate.
I cannot remove a collaborator
Most likely causes
- You are not the owner. Fix: ask the owner. Only the owner can remove people.
- You tried to remove yourself. Fix: ask the owner to remove you.
If the screen shows an error message, look it up in All error messages.
If it still does not work: contact support. Include the page address from the browser bar, the date and time, your browser and its version, the exact words on the screen, and what you clicked.
