Messages that start with the letters P to S. The full list is in All error messages.
Parent not found
Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. You reach this only from Settings → My Annotations, and the box there says Failed to create annotation type instead.
What it means: the annotation type above your new sub-type is gone, or your page is old.
What to do: reload the page. Then add the sub-type again.
Password must be at least 8 characters
When you see it: on the Register page, and when you change your password.
What it means: the new password is too short.
What to do: use 8 characters or more. The page shows every rule you must meet.
Also shown as: Please meet all password requirements.
Passwords do not match
When you see it: on the Register page.
What it means: the two password boxes hold different text.
What to do: type the same password in both boxes.
Please enter a project name
When you see it: when you make a new project.
What it means: the name box is empty.
What to do: type a name for the project. Then click Create.
Also shown as: Project name is required, Project name cannot be empty.
Please select a video file
When you see it: in the upload window, after you choose a file.
What it means: the file you chose is not a video.
What to do: choose a video file, such as .mp4 or .mov.
Project not found
When you see it: when you open a project from a link or a bookmark.
What it means: the project is gone, or it is not shared with you.
What to do: go to your Projects page. Ask the owner to share the project with you.
Also shown as: Project not found or insufficient permissions. The project page shows the longer wording Project not found or access denied.
Project not found or access denied
When you see it: on the project page, when GRAPE MARS cannot open the project.
What it means: the project is gone, or it is not shared with you.
What to do: go to your Projects page. Ask the owner to share the project with you.
Provider and API key required
When you see it: on the Settings page, in the AI Services tab.
What it means: the key box is empty.
What to do: paste your key. Then click Save.
Registration failed
When you see it: on the Register page.
What it means: the server had a problem while it made your account.
What to do: wait a moment and try again. Contact support if it fails twice.
Also shown as: Registration failed. Please try again.
Request failed
When you see it: in place of a longer message, on any screen.
What it means: the server refused the request and sent no reason with it.
What to do: reload the page. Then do the same steps again. Tell support if it fails twice.
Set a transcript language before tagging
Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. The tag chip (the small label at the top of the transcript panel that reads Set language, Tagging… or Tagged · en) refreshes instead, and goes back to Set language.
What it means: tagging needs the spoken language of the transcript. No language is set.
What to do: click the tag chip. Choose the language of the video. Then start tagging again.
Speaker not found
Where it comes from: GRAPE MARS never shows this text. The annotator says Couldn't rename speaker — please try again or Couldn't delete speaker — please try again instead.
What it means: the speaker is gone, or your page is old.
What to do: reload the page. Then try again.
start_time must be less than end_time
When you see it: in the annotator, when you make or resize an annotation.
What it means: the annotation ends before it starts.
What to do: drag the right edge past the left edge. Then save.
Suggestion not found
When you see it: in the annotator, when you click Accept or Reject on an AI suggestion.
What it means: the suggestion is gone. The AI run may have been cleared.
What to do: reload the page. Run the AI track again if you need it.
