Transcript
A transcript is the written text of what people say in a video. GRAPE MARS splits it into segments. Each segment has a start time, an end time, and its own text. You can let AI write the transcript for you, or upload a file you already have. An SRT file keeps the times of its own segments. A TXT file arrives as 1 long segment.
Example: A researcher works on a 40 minute science lesson. She lets the AI write the text, and then reads the lesson line by line while she codes.
Why it matters in GRAPE MARS
The transcript panel puts the words of the lesson next to your annotations. AI transcription also gives you word-level timing, so the text matches the video word by word. The same text can then feed the searches you run later.
