Concordance
A concordance is a search that shows each hit with the words around it. Researchers also call it a KWIC view, which means "key word in context". You read the hit and its context in one line. That is often more use than a plain count.
Example: You want to see how a teacher uses the word "why". The search lists each "why" with the words that come before and after it. You read 20 lines and see that most of them start a new task.
Why it matters in GRAPE MARS
The Concordance module has 2 modes. Annotation mode lists each annotation with the transcript words around it. Word mode searches the transcript by lemma, by exact form, by part of speech or by named entity. Word mode works only on a video that tagging has finished. Each hit shows a precision of word or segment.
