Subtitles
Subtitles are a lane in the timeline, under the video. The lane shows each transcript segment as a block at its own time. The lane appears automatically as soon as the video has a transcript. There is no control to turn it on or off. Click a block and the video jumps to the start of that segment.
Example: A researcher codes a lesson in Catalan. The Subtitles lane shows one block for each line the class says. She reads a block, clicks it, and the video jumps to that moment. She can then mark the turn on a track below.
Why it matters in GRAPE MARS
The lane matches the words to the time. You can see where the talk is dense and where it stops. You can also jump to a line without a search in the transcript panel. Subtitles do not change the transcript. They are a second view of the same text.
