Autosave

Autosave means that GRAPE MARS stores each change as you make it. There is no save button in the annotator. When you add, move, resize or delete an annotation, that change goes to the server at once. If a save fails, GRAPE MARS tells you and tries again. It makes 3 tries, after 1 second, 2 seconds and 4 seconds. If all 3 fail, GRAPE MARS marks the annotation as unsaved and keeps a copy on your computer.

Example: You mark 30 gestures in a lesson. The Wi-Fi connection stops, and one save fails after all 3 tries. You reload the page. GRAPE MARS offers the session it kept on your computer. You click Restore session, the marks come back, and GRAPE MARS saves them again.

Why it matters in GRAPE MARS

Autosave means your work is safe if you close the tab or the browser stops. It also means a change is real as soon as you make it, so take care when you delete. A workspace saves in the same way while you build it.
