Error messages E to F (first part)
Messages from Email already in use to Failed to load projects. The rest of the F messages are in Error messages F to G. The full list is in All error messages.
Email already in use
When you see it: on the Settings page, in the Profile tab, when you change your email.
What it means: another account uses that address.
What to do: use a different address. Ask your administrator if you think you have two accounts.
Email already registered
When you see it: on the Register page, after you click Create account.
What it means: an account with this email already exists.
What to do: go to the Sign in page. Ask your administrator to reset the password if you forgot it.
Email and password required
When you see it: on the Sign in page or the Register page.
What it means: one of the two boxes is empty.
What to do: fill in both boxes. Then send the form again.
Failed
The whole message is the word Failed: and then a short reason from the server.
When you see it: on the admin pages, after you change a user, a role, or a test.
What it means: the server refused the change. The reason comes after the word.
What to do: find that reason on these pages. If it is not here, contact support and send the whole message.
Failed to create project
When you see it: when you make a project, video, speaker, workspace, library, annotation type, or annotation.
What it means: the server could not save the new item.
What to do: wait a moment. Then try again. Tell support if it fails twice.

Failed to delete account
The whole message is Failed to delete account. Please contact support.
When you see it: on the Settings page, in the Account tab.
What it means: the server could not remove your account and your files.
What to do: your account is still there. Tell support, and they will finish the job.
Failed to delete project
When you see it: when you delete a project, video, annotation, speaker, library, set, or workspace.
What it means: the server could not remove the item.
What to do: reload the page and look. Try again if the item is still there.

Failed to export ELAN data
When you see it: in the annotator or the export window, when you export.
What it means: the server could not build the file.
What to do: try again. Export fewer tracks if it fails again.

Failed to generate report
The whole message is Failed to generate report. Please try again.
When you see it: in the report window, when you build a Word report.
What it means: the report could not be made.
What to do: choose fewer videos or fewer parts. Then try again.
Also shown as: Failed to generate report.
Failed to import ELAN file
When you see it: in the ELAN import window.
What it means: the server could not read the file, or could not save what was in it.
What to do: check that the file name ends in .eaf. Open it in ELAN first, to be sure it works.
Also shown as: Failed to parse ELAN file. Please check the file format., Failed to import annotations.
Failed to import library JSON
When you see it: in the annotator, when you import a library or an annotation file.
What it means: the file is not in the shape GRAPE MARS expects.
What to do: export the file again from the old GRAPE. Send it to support if it still fails.
Also shown as: Failed to import annotation JSON., Failed to parse library file "my-library.json", Import failed.
Failed to load projects
When you see it: when a page loads a list, such as projects, videos, speakers, transcripts, or workspaces.
What it means: the server could not read the data. Your work is safe.
What to do: reload the page. Wait a few minutes, then try again.
