See who is working in the video

See which colleagues have the same video open right now, from the In this session panel.

Before you start

• The other people must belong to the same project. See Invite a collaborator.
• Open the video from the project page. A video opened from your video list has no project, so GRAPE MARS does not connect you.

Steps

1. Open the project page. The page lists the videos of the project.
2. Click the video you want to work on. The annotator opens.
3. Wait for the dot in the toolbar to turn green. The word next to it reads Live.
4. Click In this session, at the bottom right. The panel opens and lists you and everyone else in this video.

Each row shows a name and a color dot. The color belongs to that person. Your own row reads "(you)". When you are alone, the panel says: "You're the only one here. Use Add to invite someone."

GRAPE MARS also shows a short message at the bottom of the screen when somebody arrives or leaves. The message gives their name, then "joined this session" or "left".

The list holds only people who have this video open now. It is not the list of people on the project. For that, read the Collaborators panel on the project page.

Check it worked

Ask a colleague to open the same video from the same project. Their name appears in In this session within a few seconds, and the number next to the heading counts you both. When they close the tab, or move to another tab for a while, their name disappears again.

If something goes wrong

• I cannot see who else is in the video
• I get a not-found error on a video I can see
