Annotate one speaker at a time
Keep one set of annotations for each speaker in the video, by working in one tab at a time.
Before you start
- One tab for each person. See Add a speaker.
Steps
- Open the video in the annotator. The speaker tabs sit in a row above the timeline.
- Click the tab of the first person. The tab turns purple.
- Drag on a track to mark what that person does. A new bar appears, and it belongs to this tab.
- Click the tab of the next person. The timeline shows the work of that person only.
- Drag on a track again for this person. The new bar belongs to the second tab.
Check it worked
Move from tab to tab. Each tab shows its own bars, and no others.
The track rows stay the same on every tab. All the speakers on a video share one library, so you can compare like with like.
The subtitles lane and the transcript belong to the whole video. They do not change with the tab.
