Declare languages for many videos (admin)

Set a language on every video that has a transcript, from one admin page, so tagging can run on each.

Before you start

• A super-admin account. Other users cannot open this page.

Steps

1. Open the admin dashboard. A dark menu sits at the left.
2. Click Transcripts in that menu. A table lists every video that has a transcript.
3. Select a language in the Language box of the first row. The row starts to tag itself.
4. Wait for the Tagging column to read Tagged. The table looks again every 5 seconds.
5. Select a language for the next row. Work down the list.

Check it worked

The line under the title counts the videos, and how many have no language yet. That number falls as you work.

Videos with no language sit at the top of the table. They are your work list.

Setting a language is the whole start button. There is no button that tags everything at once.

The Action column offers Tag now on an untagged row, Retry on a failed row, and Re-tag on a tagged one. Click Refresh at the top right to read the table again.

If something goes wrong

• Tagging will not start
• The linguistic module is empty
