How speakers work

A speaker tab holds the work on one person in the video. This page explains how the tabs work.

Before you start

  • A video open in the annotator.

Steps

  1. Open the video in the annotator. The speaker tabs sit in a row above the timeline.
  2. Click a tab. The timeline shows the work of that speaker only.
  3. Click the same tab again. A box opens, so you can type a new name.

Check it worked

Each new video starts with one speaker. Its name is Speaker 1.

Every annotation you make belongs to the open tab. The track rows do not change when you move from tab to tab. All the speakers on a video share one library.

A video always keeps at least one speaker.
