Take the annotator tour

Take the short guided tour of the annotator. It walks you through its 5 main parts, and you can run it again.

When the tour runs

The tour starts on its own about 1.5 seconds after your first video opens. It runs once per browser. Once you finish or skip it, it does not come back on its own.

The 5 steps

1. Annotation Tracks: the rows in the track panel.
2. Create Annotations: drag on a track to make an annotation.
3. Resize and Move: drag an end or the middle of a bar.
4. Manage Library: where you add and edit the tracks in your library.
5. Keyboard Shortcuts: Space, Cmd+Z and the double click.

Steps

1. Click Next to go on. The dark cover moves to the next part of the screen.
2. Click Back to see the step before. This button appears from step 2.
3. Click Done on step 5. The tour closes and does not return.
4. Click Skip tour at any time. The tour closes at once.

Start the tour again

1. Click the question-mark icon in the toolbar. Its tooltip reads Keyboard shortcuts. The shortcut list opens.
2. Click Restart tour. The tour starts again from step 1. (new in the next update)

Check it worked

Each step shows a number, such as Step 2 of 5, and a ring around the part it names.

If something goes wrong
