Rename or reorder speakers

Give your speaker tabs the names you want, and put them in the order that suits you.

Before you start

• The editor or owner role on the project.

Steps

1. Open the video in the annotator. The speaker tabs sit in a row above the timeline.
2. Click the tab you want to rename. The tab opens.
3. Click the same tab again. A box opens with the name in it.
4. Type the new name. The box holds your text.
5. Press Enter. The tab shows the new name.
6. Drag the grip at the left of a tab. The grip shows when your pointer is on the tab. The tab follows your pointer.
7. Drop the tab in its new place. The row shows the new order.

Check it worked

Leave the video and open it again. The names and the order are the same as you left them.

Press Escape while you type to keep the old name. An empty name also keeps the old one.

The order of the tabs is only for your comfort. It does not change any annotation.
