Delete a speaker

Remove a speaker tab from this video. Every annotation of that speaker goes with it, so read this page first.

Before you start

• Read this line twice: GRAPE MARS also deletes every annotation of that speaker. You cannot undo it.
• Move the work you want to keep to another tab first.

Steps

1. Open the video in the annotator. The speaker tabs sit in a row above the timeline.
2. Open the cross by moving your pointer onto the tab you want to remove. A small cross appears at the right of the tab.
3. Click the cross. The tab turns red and asks Delete "Teacher"? Its annotations go too.
4. Click Yes. The tab goes, and its annotations go with it.

Check it worked

The row has one tab less. GRAPE MARS opens another tab for you.

The cross shows only when the video has 2 speakers or more. A video always keeps at least one: when only one speaker is left, GRAPE MARS hides the cross, so you cannot start a delete.

Click Cancel in step 4 to keep the speaker.

If something goes wrong

• I cannot delete this speaker
• Deleting a speaker removed its annotations
