Remove a video from a project
(New in the next update.)
Take a video out of a project you added it to, without deleting it. The video stays untouched everywhere else.
Owners and editors may remove a video. Viewers may not.
Before you start
Every video has one home project: the project you first uploaded it into. You can remove the video from any other project you added it to later. You cannot remove it from its home project.
- Delete a video: the only way to take a video out of its home project.
- What deleting a video removes: read this before you delete instead of remove.
Steps
- Open your project. Its video list opens.
- Click the remove icon on the video row you want. A grey box asks you to confirm.
- Click OK in that box. The link goes. The video stays in its other projects.
Rest your mouse on the row to show the remove icon. It sits next to the delete icon.
On the video's home project, the remove icon stays grey and does nothing. Its tip reads: "This is the video's home project. Delete the video to remove it."
Check it worked
The row is gone from this project's list. The video still appears in its other projects. The Videos row of the Overview card goes down by 1.
