Module: Duration Distribution

Add a chart that counts how many of your annotations are short and how many are long.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Click Add module. The drawer opens on the right.
  2. Click + next to Duration Distribution. The module lands at the foot of the page.
  3. Wait for the bars to draw. You see 6 bars, one per length band.

Check it worked

The card says "Annotations per duration bucket, stacked by category".

The 6 bands are always the same: 0–0.5s, 0.5–1s, 1–2s, 2–5s, 5–10s and 10s+. Each mark falls in one band, by how long it lasts. GRAPE MARS does not choose the bands from your data, so 2 videos always use the same scale.

Each bar is split by category, in the colour of that category. A tall 0–0.5s bar means most of your marks are very short.

The Excel sheet holds a Bucket column, a Count column, and one further column for each category.

This module has no settings of its own. Change the bands you see by changing the scope.
