Search annotations in context
Search your annotations and read the spoken words around each one, in a Concordance module.
Before you start
Steps
- Click Add module. The drawer opens on the right.
- Click + next to Concordance. The module lands at the foot of the page.
- Click the settings button in its title bar. A panel opens under Searching for.
- Click Annotations in the pair of buttons. The panel shows Tiers and Content.
- Select one or more tracks under Tiers. The list of hits appears below.
- Select a value under Content to narrow the search. Only marks with that text stay.

Each line shows the video name, a time, the track, the coder, the speaker, and the words around the hit.
Until you pick a track or a content value, the module shows a message. It reads "Add a tier or content value above to start searching." That is not an error: the module is waiting for you.
A Speaker filter appears only when the module looks at one single video. Use Scope override to pick that video. See Give one module its own scope.
Two more settings sit at the foot of the panel. Sort puts the hits in time order, groups them by video, or takes a random sample. Context sets how many words you see on each side, from 0 to 15.
The module reads every video in scope. It needs at least one video with a transcript.
