Save a library for reuse

Save a copy of this library, so you can add it to any other project later.

Before you start

• Build your annotation library

Steps

1. Click Manage Library at the foot of the track panel. The Library Manager opens.
2. Click the ••• button next to the title. A small menu opens.
3. Click Save as template. A box opens with 2 fields.
4. Type a name in Template name. The Save button turns on.
5. Type a short note in Description (optional). You can leave this field empty.
6. Click Save. A green line reads Saved as, with your name. The box closes on its own.
7. Click Apply Library, or Cancel if you changed nothing. The Library Manager closes.

Check it worked

Open the Library Manager again and click Browse track library. Your saved set is listed under Your saved libraries, with the number of tracks it holds.

The copy is a snapshot. Later edits to this project's library do not change it. Save it again under a new name when you want a fresh copy.
