Upload a transcript file (SRT or TXT)
Put your own text in the transcript panel from an SRT or TXT file, without an AI run.
Before you start
- A
.srtor.txtfile on your computer. - A video with no transcript yet. The upload button hides once there is text.
Steps
- Open the video in the annotator. The panel reads
No transcript loaded. - Click Upload Transcript. Your computer opens a file box.
- Select your
.srtor.txtfile. The text appears in the panel at once. - Click the pencil on one line and correct it. GRAPE MARS then saves the whole transcript on the server.
Check it worked
An SRT file gives one segment for each block, with the times from the file. A TXT file has no times, so all of it becomes one long segment over the whole video.
Step 4 matters. The upload alone leaves the text in your browser. One saved change stores it for everybody.
A file carries no word-level timing. The panel says so at the foot: Word-level sync available after AI transcription.
