Add a track
Add one more row to the timeline, for one more annotation type you want to code.
Before you start
Steps
- Click Manage Library at the foot of the track panel. The Library Manager opens.
- Click the group that should hold the new track. A blue ring marks the chosen group.
- Click Add track. A row named New track appears inside that group.
- Type a name for the track. Press Enter to keep it.
- Click the round colour dot to give the track its own colour. The dot takes the new colour.
- Click Apply Library. The new row appears on the timeline.
If you have no group yet
Add track needs a group. If there are no groups yet, clicking Add track shows a yellow line: Add a group first. Click Add group on that line, name the group, then start again at step 3.
Check it worked
The track panel shows the new row under its group header. The row is empty until you drag your first annotation on it.
Your other tracks and their work are untouched. Apply Library keeps every track that is still in the list.
