Undo a change
(Undo saving to the server is new in the next update.)
Take back your last change to an annotation, on your screen and on the server.
Steps
- Click Undo in the toolbar. The last change is taken back.
- Press Cmd+Z on a Mac, or Ctrl+Z on Windows. This does the same thing.
What undo covers
Undo works on annotations only. It takes back:
- a bar you created,
- a bar you deleted,
- a move or a resize,
- a value or a time you changed in the edit box.
GRAPE MARS keeps your last 50 changes on this video. Undo is grey when there is nothing left to take back.
If you undo a deleted bar, GRAPE MARS brings it back. The bar gets a new number behind the scenes. You never see this number.
GRAPE MARS saves each undo to the server, the same way it saves any other change. If the save fails, you see the same Not saved — message and the same retries. Read How saving works.
Your colleagues in the same video see the change right away.
What undo does not cover
Undo does not touch your library. To take back work in the Library Manager, click Cancel instead of Apply Library.
There is no redo. If you undo one step too far, make the change again by hand.
If you undo too soon
GRAPE MARS may still be saving the bar you want to undo. If so, you see this message instead:
Still saving that annotation — try undo again in a moment.
Nothing changes when you see this message. Wait a moment, then press Undo again.
Check it worked
The bar is back where it was, or it is gone again. Reload the page: the reverted state stays.
