Read the platform logs
Read what the server recorded, newest first, to find out what happened at a given time.
Before you start
- You need the admin role.
- Logs help you answer "what happened at 11:04?". They are not a report on people.
- An empty page reads: "No logs recorded yet. Logs are written when API requests are made."
Steps
- Open the Admin area. The Project Status page opens.
- Click Platform Logs in the bar on the left. The list loads.
- Select Errors only in the box at the top right. The list shows red rows alone.
- Click a row marked "▸ details". A gray block opens under it with the full record.
The box offers All levels, Errors only, Warnings and Info.
Read a row
The first line holds the level, the address the app called, the status number, and how long the call took. The date and time sit at the right. The message sits under that line.
A status number of 400 or more is a failure. 401 means the person was not signed in. 403 means they were signed in but not allowed.
Use a log with a bug report
When a colleague reports a problem, ask for the time and what they clicked. Then:
- Select Errors only. The list shows red rows alone.
- Click the row closest to that time. A gray block opens under it with the full message.
Copy the message. Include it when you contact support.
Check it worked
Rows appear with a time in the last hour. The newest row sits at the top.
