Tag again after editing

Run tagging again so the tags match the words in the transcript now. Most edits do this for you.

Before you start

• A video whose chip reads Tagged · es, or your own language code.

Steps

1. Open the video in the annotator. The transcript panel sits at the right of the player.
2. Click the chip in the panel header. A menu opens.
3. Select Re-tag transcript. The chip changes to Tagging…
4. Wait for the chip. It reads Tagged · es again.

Check it worked

The chip is grey with a tick. Your word searches now find the new words.

Most of the time you do not need these steps. Each saved edit sends the whole transcript, and tagging runs again on its own. A save that changes nothing costs nothing: GRAPE MARS sees the same text and stops.

Use the menu when the chip looks stale, or after you change the language of a tagged video. That case shows an amber Re-tag needed chip, because the old tags come from the old language.

The menu also holds Change language. Pick a language there to correct the one you set.
